Morning Light is a simple way to keep a personal record of time spent in morning daylight.

These terms apply to the Morning Light app and getmorninglight.com, provided by Blue Hour Labs (“we,” “us”). By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or website. For questions, contact contact@getmorninglight.com.

Your use of Morning Light

You may use the app and website for personal, lawful purposes. You must be able to agree to these terms under the laws that apply to you, or have a parent or guardian’s permission. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its security, or infringe anyone else’s rights.

The iOS app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These terms supplement that agreement for our service and website; they do not replace Apple’s license or applicable App Store terms. Apple is not responsible for providing support for Morning Light.

A personal habit tool

Morning Light provides general information and personal tracking, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Sunrise estimates and reminders may be affected by settings, permissions, location accuracy, and device availability. We do not promise particular health, sleep, or fitness outcomes. Use your judgment about outdoor conditions and your own needs, and never look directly at the sun.

Your content and privacy

You retain ownership of the photos and records you create. You are responsible for content you save or share and for keeping any copies you want to preserve. We do not provide an account-based backup or recovery service for your journal. See our Privacy Policy for information about local storage, permissions, and service providers.

Paid features and subscriptions

Some features may require a purchase. The App Store purchase screen shows the price, billing period, and any trial or introductory offer before you confirm. Availability and pricing may vary by region.

If you choose an automatically renewing subscription, Apple charges your Apple account and renews it unless you cancel before renewal. For a free or discounted trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want it to renew. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your iPhone’s Settings under your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. See Apple’s cancellation instructions.

Any one-time purchase is identified as such when offered. Access to paid features depends on your valid purchase entitlement. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable law; visit Apple’s refund request page. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

Availability and changes

We may update, change, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation or compatibility with every device or future operating system. Where changes affect paid services, we will comply with applicable notice and consumer protection requirements.

Our materials

Except for your content and third-party materials, the app, website, branding, and associated materials belong to Blue Hour Labs or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to you. Third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners. Apple and the Apple logo are trademarks of Apple Inc.; App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the website and services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without additional warranties. The app’s warranty and liability provisions are set out in Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or reduces your statutory consumer rights.

Ending use and updated terms

You may stop using Morning Light at any time. You can delete your local records and uninstall the app; subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Apple. The app license’s termination provisions are governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.

We may revise these terms as the service changes. We will post the revised terms here with an updated date and provide additional notice or obtain agreement when required by law. Contact contact@getmorninglight.com with questions.
